Snagit built its reputation on three things: fast region capture, quick markup tools, and the ability to produce a shareable asset — screenshot or video — without opening a separate editor. Snagit includes a full-screen scrolling capture, a dedicated image library, and a rich post-capture editor with templates. If those features are central to your daily workflow, Snagit may still be the right tool. But if your main use is quick capture, fast markup, and sharing — Pointframe does that well and costs nothing.
Getting started
Install via winget or download the installer from the releases page. The default hotkey is Print Screen, which you can change in Settings. Pointframe lives in the system tray and stays out of your way until you need it.
